In 1984, Dick Jensen conceptualized the three primary foundations of any society as family, religion, and government. His inspiration came from Psalm 11:3. In 1986, the concept was organized into a nonprofit corporation, First Foundations, Inc., which researches and reports on societal foundations.

First Foundations, Inc. is a non-membership organization governed by a board of directors who serve without compensation. First Foundations is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) (3) charitable organization. Our operating budget is supported by the tax-deductible donations of individuals and corporations. Government grants or loans are neither sought nor accepted.

Although based in South Carolina, FFI has a nationwide constituency and international interests. FFI is a nonpartisan, non-sectarian, project-oriented organization.
